Julia has gone back to Rocks as part of her natural forms theme. Her early Rockscapes were produced in the 1970’s and 80’s (see CV page).  On the 14th February Julia was loaned a crocoite, a lead chromate mineral which used to supply chrome yellow artists pigments in the early 19th Century. The current development of this painting can be seen in the images below. The completed painting may be hung as part of the Geology display at the Castle Museum’s big exhibition “Art at the Rockface” in (May-August 2006).  The exhibition will also includes works by Leonardo, Durer and many other great masters.
